The Summer of a lifetime for children

My name is Kibibi Oyo and I am the Director of The Cyber Camp. We have been providing educational and exciting summer programs since 1998. For the last 19 years, The Cyber Camp has run a comprehensive technology program for children ages 4-14. As you know the knowledge of computers and technology is no longer optional. Regardless of your career choice, you must be technology savvy to be successful. Our main goal at The Cyber Camp is to provide the necessary technology foundation our youth need to be leaders in this new millennium. This includes more than knowing how to navigate Facebook or using an IPad. We have already begun our planning for this summer and hope your child will participate. You can register your child for all 3 sessions or just specific weeks.

This year we will offer a robust curriculum which will be broken down into 3 unique programs:

Mine Craft Mania Week (July 10th – July 14th) - During this ONE WEEK INTENSIVE program students will build their own Piper computer systems and INSTALL and PROGRAM them with their own version of MINECRAFT. The students will learn programming skills and hardware assembly. This program is designed for students ages 7-14, and is limited to 9 students to ensure our participants are getting focused instruction and maximum hands-on experience.

Go-Kart Throw Back Week (July 17th – July 21st)– We are going to take it back and do some old-fashioned hands-on play. During this ONE WEEK, HANDS ON program students will construct and build go-karts that they will get to DRIVE! Students will learn to read blueprints, instructions, and to use tools properly and safely. This program is designed for students ages 7-14 and is limited to 9 students to ensure our participants are getting focused instruction and maximum hands-on experience.

Lego Adventure Week (July 24th – July 28th)-   Students will learn how to build and program an autonomous robot using a graphical programming language. They will develop basic programming skills that will be a foundation for more advanced programming languages. This program is designed for students ages 7-14 and is limited to 9 students to ensure our participants are getting focused instruction and maximum hands-on experience.

We will still have our weekly trips and every week there will be a book club book relative to the topic at hand. Students will be expected to read 30 minutes to 1 hour a day. All students will be encouraged to strive for excellence and to display their own personal creativity at all times. Every week there is a new skill to be mastered, both individually and working in groups. The curriculum is completely project based.

We have not forgotten it is summer time and we have a host of camp activities (electives) lined up in addition to the hands-on training. So along with an excellent education, your child is guaranteed to have a good time. Parents will also be able to get hourly updates on their children by following us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Registration has already begun and space is limited. Please contact me as soon as possible so we can get your child on his or her way to success! You should give us a call today to ensure your child has a space.

Thank you,
Kibibi Oyo
